Was in Camping World the other day and saw an ATV in the lobby and thought that would make a great tow vehicle for short store runs, wonder if anyone makes a street legal version.
If your real reason is just to minimize cost you might consider and older Jeep with a Ready Brake system. They are inexpensive to buy, reliable, and easy to modify for towing. The Ready Brake is also inexpensive and easy to install.
They are street legal in some states like Utah and Arizona, but not in California. In California, they're only legal to cross a highway when traversing from one dirt road to another.
Saw one last summer at a car show that was street legal. Can't remember the name but when I looked it up they were $20,000. Think I'll stick with my HHR.
