- dkingdoeExplorerJust wondering how everyone's doing? Did everyone have a good summer? We are looking forward to doing some 'fall' camping.
Thought I'd share this...recently we were having trouble with the generator running. As long and the temperature was in the 80s it ran fine, but once it got into the 90s it would run for a little while and then shut off. So we took it to an Onan service center, and after having it completely serviced (oil change / filter / gas line filter / air filter / spark plugs) we still had the problem. Then we had the fuel pump changed...still had the problem. :h They even let it run all day under a load, and it 'never' shut down. So they called us and said that it's running fine. We thought the problem was fixed so we went to the service center to pick up the MH and found the bay to the generator was open. We asked if they had left the generator running? They said 'yes', but it wasn't. So, we went out to the MH and they couldn't believe that it quit. Then after further inspection they found that the fuel line going to the pump was not getting fuel because the hose had a kink in it.:S They cut off the 'kink' and all's well. Check yours if you are having any problems with your generator.

Bedroom Ceiling Fan.
Has anyone installed a bedroom ceiling fan in the 2004 Pace Arrow 37C? I was thinking of how to install it so the slide would not interfere when closed. It would require an extension rod, but would that be too low? Is there a fan with quick removable blades? The blades could be unhooked (not all blades) and stored when the slide is in. Any thoughts or ideas?

We'd love to have a ceiling fan too since we are used to sleeping with one at home but could never get any information on the ceiling fan kit that was supposed to be an option on the 37C. We have a small oscillating fan that we put on the desk in the bedroom and run at night if necessary. That option has worked well for us the past few years.

I had the same problem. When I took the screen door handle apart (two screws) I found a small rod had broken. I had to buy the handle assembly. It was about 20 dollars.
That small rod is usually the problem. Before it breakes it becomes bent, bowed, enough that it will not push the latch in far enough to release the screen door latch which will cause a hang up or the doors not opening as intended. Pull the screen door handel apart, 2 screws, and make sure the 2 inch pusher rod is completely straight. Most likely the problem. Also, file the manual plastic catch to the screen door on the main door a little so it operates freely when latching and unlatching the two doors.
Why it bends or breakes, who knows? - Paul_TurpinExplorerHas anyone adjusted the bedroom slide out??? My slide out is working but I have noticed in the last few months that when the slide out is closed, the bottom is tight against the side of the RV but the top is now about 2 - 2 1/2 inch from the RV. I think it is getting worst.

Mel - Dennis37ExplorerI had the same problem. When I took the screen door handle apart (two screws) I found a small rod had broken. I had to buy the handle assembly. It was about 20 dollars.
- rolnhomeExplorerPapa Mel is right on. The screw goes into the button on the main door to fully depress the screen door latch so it will not catch. Then the two doors will work as one.
- Papa_MelExplorerThe trick with the screen door is when both the door and screen door are connected, there is a small button on the door latch that contacts the push button on the screen door. If this button is worn it will not completely close the catch on the screen door. This is visible when the screen is attached to the door. Check to see if the screen catch is fully depressed when both doors are together. If not, the screen will hang up when opening. I have screwed a small screw into the button which depresses the screen catch enough to clear the screen latch.
- bricotExplorerThe problem with the screen doors that I have been experiencing is that when you go to open the outer door, the screen door catches, usually hear a pop as the two doors separate and the screen door stays closed. Seems like the door is getting a little harder to close fully and only wants to partially latch unless you push it pretty hard. I'll lube the mechanism/hinges up this weekend and see if that changes anything.
- Papa_MelExplorerUltraPower upgrade. I installed the upgrade in March. I didn't get good results at first and contacted them. 1200 miles was suggested to "break it in". I have 1600 miles on it now and my mileage is worse. Also, the power climbing hills is less. I was better off before the upgrade. Plug wires were checked OK and fuel filter OK. Anyone else have this problem?
