While getting the MH ready to hit the road, I decided to take the bedroom ceiling light fixture down to clean it. How in the H... did those creatures get into the light and where did they come from. Found no signs of them any where else in the MH. Is it possible that what I thought were mice might actually be something else??

Did it look something like this:

There are wiring tunnels all over the place in an RV and mice can easily use these to get most anywhere they want to go.

You know the foam used in the wall and ceiling laminates? They can make it like swiss cheese.

Last year we had mice for the first time in 27 years camping...luck ran out. Our solution was to place 4 old fashioned spring loaded mouse traps in outside storage compartments with peanut butter. Worked overnight. Two dead mice - have not had any since. BTW, there were droppings in bread drawer and broom closet also. They find their way around the motorhome. We also tried the newer "hockey puck" type traps, thay did not catch anything - but they are still in our compartments along with the four old fahioned traps. Good luck.

Yup spring traps and glue traps work but you need the rat sized ones for glue.

When using peanut butter or some other bait I wonder if I am not simply inviting more mice from outside the camper in to investigate the bait smell......

Place the bags of material thruout your coach and even in the basement compartments.

Ive been using it for 3 years now and havent seen a trace of a mouse or whetever

If you go to close up any openings, Great Stuff now has a PEST REPELLENT flavored expanding foam that works very well...minimum expanding, just like regular, however has a flavor pests don't like..........

Really should have my glasses on when I start to read RV.net. I saw MOOSE droppings. That would be one large light fixture.:B

Sometimes the cockroaches from the oak trees leave droppings like that. They look like small mice droppings. Get rid of any cardboard boxes you may have around.

Thank you 2gypsies that will make the DW a lot happier. Like I had said we have seen no sign of mice and the trap was never sprung.
