So his fridge shut down on an over heat fail safe and you coached him how to bypass it?
I hope you spelled out with a big red crayon WHY that box is in there in the first place, correct?
Is it bad or did it do it's job? How would he know?
the box was bad as there is a recall on them i as well educated him what to look for and the risk.
My question to you is you dont know me or what i do why presume i would put peoples life at risk without properly educating and do the prpoer checkes making
And i will say if people cannot post on this forum nothing that helps the op do not post anything
1. There is NO recall on the overheat switch recall boxes.
2. This thread in only about 1 day old, so there has not been enough time to verify that the recall box did NOT do its job and he may have a leaker cooling unit which is what the recall is about----To prevent heat operation if the cooling unit has lost its ammonia.
3. I understand your being upset about the post questioning your expertise. Please explain YOUR expertise on 1200 Norcold refers. Then we can judge if you do have the expertise to advise bypassing the recall kit.
4. The OP stated he had done multiple resets on his board. THAT points to a problem, as you do NOT have to do hard resets on a 1200 refer UNLESS you have a major operational problem. Doug
