- jerseyjimExplorerMy 2001 Dolphin gasser has one 12V for the motor and 2 6V for the coach. ALWAYS replace the 2 6V TOGETHER as a pair.
I replaced mine just last month....Sams' Club. "Duracell" made by DEKA... in Pennsylvania.
Most all other batteries are made (owned) by Johnson Controls. (Interstate included). Some more expensive than others. MY experience...I get 3-4 years out of ANY brand. So more $$$ ain't necessairily better. - peterman1Exploreryes its the house batts... im going to try charging them for 24 hours and take them in for a test.. most of the time I camp its with hook ups.. thanks for all the responses
pete - Gale_HawkinsExplorerWe have been using WM DC-24 or DC-27 batteries past 10+ years OK.
- donn0128Explorer IIIf they were dead, then depending on the charger your using to bring them back could take 12 or more hours. Charge them for 24 hours and then take them to a battery store for load testing.
If they really are dead, then depending on your budget and how much space you have and your needs 4 6 volt golf cart batteries might be the best choice. Then again a single cheap 12 volt might be just fine for your needs. Do you dry camp? Or are you a full hookup camper? - Executive45Explorer IIIMany options here....from your post, it appears these are your house batteries and not your starting batteries. Also, assuming here, these two dead batteries are 12VDC. If both of these are correct, then you might consider replacing the two 12V with four 6V golf cart batteries. The GC batteries are designed a little different as they do not have to have CCA, (cranking amps). This means they can withstand the abuse we give them with continued use and discharging. Furthermore, GC batteries will have greater amp hours which will help power the "stuff" inside the rig. Here's a link to a great tutorial...Dennis
