Oil Type for Ford V10?
I have got a 2001 Fleetwood Bounder 32H with a Ford Triton V10 with no owners manual for the chassis. Has 15k miles on it. What engine oil grade would be best ?

Glad you found something that works for you.
But any time an engine uses or loses a quart in 100 miles, you should be looking for the reason. Most likely it is a leak somewhere.
Contrary to what you are implying, thinner oil lubricates better......but wasn't practical to use in a "dino" variety because it would get even thinner when hot. Enter synthetics which hold their viscosity better over a wide range of temperatures. 5-20 synthetic should be just fine.......for any healthy engine.- Contrary to what Ford says, I found that 5-20 was too thin....adding a quart every 100 miles or so. Since then....my 2001 has run 10-30 fossil. 54000 miles, change oil every 3-4000. Never seems to use a drop between changes and never any engine problems.

Like when buying a pickup....the dealer wants to you buy, say a 302 cid....and actually cringe when you want a 351 cid for towing. Yes. What I've run in this coach, a 2010 and our previous, a 1999. Both on F-53 Chasis, both with 0 problems.- I'd go with full synthetic, 5w-30. I am proud to say I DO think Supertech oil from Walmart is absolutely fine stuff. Meets all the regulations and has fine reviews from bobistheoilguy.
- I use Rotella T-6 Synthetic.
It appears to be rated 5W40.
It will hold it's viscosity a bit better when HOT than a 5W20. - v10 uses low tension rings for more mpg use only 5w20.
