  • Is everything working when on shore power? Verify that and then you can isolate whether it's the generator circuit pathway or something else. Check all breakers and fuses in the house panel and the GFCI outlets.
  • The two c/b's on generator are only ones on genset. You should check wiring at transfer switch or possibly bad contactor/relay in transfer switch. look for loose wire connection at back of breakers at gen. Since a/c 's are working, problem is likely not in generator. Also make sure GFCI outlets have not tripped, causing outlets to not have power
  • I changed control board . runs now still only aces working no outlets have to brakers by start switch , are there others brakers on generator . thank you
  • Well it's either a
    1) Gas problem
    2) Spark problem
    3) Compression problem
    4) Ground problem

My hunch is it sounds like a fuel problem. Go with the obvious and work your way out.
  • Before you tear it all apart. I have found many Onans to have a fuel problem and show other faults. Make sure it is getting fuel and the filter isn't plugged. Make sure it is getting fuel by pulling the return line if you can and see if fuel is flowing thru it. Mine has done it 3 different times. Then go with the diode.
  • IIRC Onan Had a problem back in 02 - 03 with a diode failing in the control board.

I did find a service bulletin that ma apply to your situation
