You obviously have no idea about the terrain in the L.A. basin. Any area north of Tujunga, can not receive TV signals through roof mounted antenna because of the high mountains between L.A. basin and Santa Clarita Valley.
No one can get a decent TV signal except radio ocasionally, the reason you won't see TV antennas in the area. So, you can forget your MH antenna.
You simply is one of the comics that makes this site not running short of clowns.
You might want to check those areas in the basin and surrounding valleys about the quality of reception in each particular area. Mr Google will give you a helping hand.
