One more satellite question

Not sure what you mean by "I liked the idea of three satellites which makes it easier for the antenna to lock-in". There are 3 satellites but each satellite carries different programming. You can't pick any 1 of the 3 and watch anything you like.
There also is no such thing as being "offered mobile access". Every Dish and DirecTV customer has the option of taking the receiver from their home and using it in their RV anywhere and as often as they like all at no additional charge.
Most of the rest makes no real sense.

Go with Amazon because saving money makes a lot of sense to me.

Go with Amazon? You must not be using any kind of mobile cellular internet connection to stream your TV. There is not a change in Hades that you can afford to travel and use cellular data to watch TV on a daily basis. Campground WiFi generally is so poor that it is unusable or your campground WiFi will block streaming (as they should) due to limited bandwidth.
Anyone proclaiming the benefits of streaming is not traveling and paying those crazy fees but rather someone sitting at home with something like FIOS and unlimited data.

IMO, it's because you can't get HD with Direct TV using a portable or dome type dish. You must purchase an expensive Trav'ler. I will not watch anything but HD, so it was a no brainer decision for me.

Depends on your lifestyle - as 12-year full timers, we've been pleased with DirecTV. We get the network feeds from both NY and LA, and during football season NFL Direct Ticket. Because we volunteer as interpretive hosts at parks and refuges, we're often under the trees so use a portable dish for HD programming. With a good signal meter, it takes me less than 15 minutes to set up.

so amazon prime has all the networks? fox news-fox sports-discovery
lifetime -Investigation discovery- hgtv etc etc etc
and how do u get all this amazon Tv? through your phone?

As others said, we like Dish pay-as-you-go or Dish 4 my RV, whichever you call it. We use a Tailgater and Road Trip Mission, not at the same time. We like paying only for months you use. You do not get the 1 year intro rates. Did not know you could suspend service and carry over $. Gotta try that. Those dishes only use 1 sat at a time, but can get all 3. Had a Trav'ler on previous coach but did not use it enough to warrant cost on new coach. Domes are more susceptible to rain fade. If left off for more than 30 days, maybe shorter, then you will have to call or chat to get reconnected. You can change your service area as you travel, which gets you local channels, for that area.

This is not true. While you can't get DirecTV HD with a dome, a portable tripod based open face antenna will give you the same service you have at home or with a Trav'ler. Just takes a few more minutes to setup.

We use and are very satisfied with DirecTV. As to the comment that after AT&T bought them the prices went through the roof, well, our cost didn't change at all???
