Overhead lights wire routing

Trying to figure out why the overhead lights don't work and have been unable to trace the wiring. I've checked the bulbs are all are good they even look new.. must not be the first to try figuring it out. I assume that they're tied into the front parking lights. The rear's are all tied together on the trailer parking light circuit.. go figure. The speakers for the back run back to the frig area and go up I wouldn't think they'd go back that far. But I can say for certain there's no splices under the frig area for the lighting.

It looks like the only option is to pull the driver's seat and pull up the carpet. They must of used scotchlok wire connectors like they did on everything else and those have failed. Already had to fix the backup camera, rear speakers and frig due to those.. and they left bare wires on top of that.

Any insights on how the front runners are typically ran? Not sure if Ford's and Chevy's are different.
  • I'll check the switch not looking forward to that. In the Jayco the wires are concealed pretty good about the only thing they did right. I didn't see any wires but I'll double check.
  • My interior lights are wired by running a wire from the light in the ceiling to the side where the wire runs into a cabinet. You can get at the wire by feeling for the wire along the top front inside the cabinet.

Mine is a Four Winds, I don't know if Jayco does the same.
  • Are you talking about the exterior overhead marker lights? If so check the light switch. Some Chevy light switches have an extra terminal on them just for the front marker lights.
