- guardrail53ExplorerMy step motor was a GM wiper motor, and I had to drill and tap 1 hole, worked perfect!
- MackteeExplorerWell I ended up buying a whole new step from NW RV in Eugene. A friend of mine picked it up for me on Sat. and will bring it to our park in AZ. I bought new, due to the rust that was on the old step.
The deal on the new one was too good to pass up. Macktee - MackteeExplorerThanks to all for info. And thanks Dick for the maintenance info. I likely would cut my hand off, being th clutz that I am. Tom
- IvylogExplorer IIIMore than likely it's a drivers window lift motor for:
1986-1995 Ford Taurus
Cardone brand, P/N 42-309
NAPA part # BK655-1395
Dorman part# 742-206
Before working on the steps, unplug the Control Module so powered operation doesn't occur.
Mechanically secure the steps before removing gear case. They will swing freely as the gear case is loosened.
Pay close attention to the spacers on the bolts. They provide the offset from the frame necessary to align the gears - gswcgiExplorerYou can also try NorthWest RV in Eugene, OR. They buy a lot of surplus RV parts from Monaco.
- DSDP_DonExplorerYou probably have the SCS Frigette steps. You can still get parts for them.

- MackteeExplorerThanks Stuart, I will look into both. Tom
- bullydogs1ExplorerDid you call Monaco at 877 4666226 with your coach #....also you might have one of those power window motors that are out of a Ford Taurus....you'd have to look but you can get that at NAPA
