Power chips

Brazels DOES have replacement ECM's that they will program and you can keep your old ECM as a spare or avoid any downtime waiting for the turn around. All you have to do is pay the core charge. Just ask when you contact them.

It's all just common sense. Auto (engine) manufactures aren't going to let you play with the programming of their engines and stand behind the warranty. They would be idiots if they did. Yes, some dealers look the other way. Most don't , and "most" of the time they know if you have played with it or added a tuner or chip.

Bottom line if you have a big wallet and want to make you engine more powerful then it's your money as your going to flip the bill. If not then its wise to leave the engine alone while under warranty, or you might not be happy when something breaks.

Why not just get the truck with a engine capable of doing the job stock from the factory? With the internet there are plenty of ways to find out how engines perform while towing or in MH's well before you buy one. Being informed before you spend the money on one can help you with wishing it was just a little better. For most going from a gas engine to a diesel solves most of the power issues. And there are many diesel MH platforms that can supply you with the needed power, even if you don't need it.

Damage Caused by Alteration or Modification
The New Vehicle Limited Warranty does not cover any damage caused by:
alterations or modifications of the vehicle, including the body, chassis, or components, after the vehicle leaves the control of Ford Motor Company
tampering with the vehicle, tampering with the emissions systems or with the other parts that affect these systems (for example, but not limited to exhaust and intake systems)
the installation or use of a non-Ford Motor Company part (other than a certified emissions part) or any part (Ford or non-Ford) designed for off-road use only installed after the vehicle leaves the control of Ford Motor Company, if the installed part fails or causes a Ford part to fail. Examples include, but are not limited to lift kits, oversized tires, roll bars, cellular phones, alarm systems, automatic starting systems and performance-enhancing powertrain components or software and performance "chips"

I voided my truck when it was two months old with Straight piped 4inch exhaust,175cc injectors,ball bearing turbo,open element air filter,high pressure oil pump,head studs,custom burned 6 program flip chip. You wanna play you gotta pay.

I have a Bully Dog GT. You can leave the factory tune settings in place, or reflash the ecm to performance, towing, or economy. It has a lcd display that allows you to monitor up to 4 gauges at once, with programmable alarms for temperatures. I always have the trans temp on there as it shows when the torque converter is locked. It can also read and clear trouble codes. It comes with a suction cup windshield mount, but I made a dashboard mount for mine. Edge CTS and diablosport make similar programmers. They plug in to the obd2 port under the dash.

Geeze, you really can't read can you? Where does it say I made a phone call? I said CONTACT Ford or GM. They will require your VIN and other info.
If you go to a GM truck dealership, as I did, that does factory warranty work, they will be glad to give you information in writing about what is covered and what is not covered when reprogramming your ECM. I assume that Ford does the same, but that is why you need to contact them. The same goes if you want to change your headers, etc on a new automobile or truck. If it is a large dealership, they may even have the equipment there to reprogram your ECM. If you have ever taken a newer vehicle in for factory service, you will find out that even they may reprogram their own ECM to update it with the latest software.
I have handled my own affairs and I find it boring to try to educate you on how to do the same. If a person is too lazy to contact their own Ford or GM dealership about their engine, then they should stick with what they have.

I said ASK FORD OR GM about reprogramming your ECM and see if they will void your warranty. I never said do it and take your chances. When I had my ECM reprogrammed I did check to find out if it would affect my warranty. It did not, as long as everything remained within specs. I did my homework and only suggested others do their own homework and not listen to people like you with no experience at all with reprogramming ECM's.

Sounds like someone is back pedaling. You said feel free to call them.I'm not the one making the claims you are, so I would assume since your well versed on this subject you would have it. The claims you made were how it was designed to work with the ECM. Seems like you've got it figured out for everyone.

You claim you made a "checked". Just curious, did you get anything in writing from your Ford or GM stating they won't void your warranty. Surely you at least taped the call. :S
