power gear hydraulic jacks, 1997 bounder 36s

4 point/jack system
leaky jack right/curb rear
info tags unreadable (on all jacks)
NO manual in the bag of paperwork

need numbers for
model/system
for replacement jack ?
for replacement solenoid valve on manifold(one valve broken wire terminal on coil)

i down loaded a manual, but it refers to several different size systems

I need to know which one, so i can look up the part numbers

i don't kown if these are 9000#, 12000# or 16000# jacks

i 'think' they are 12000#

  • That sounds great. Would love to get a look at it. Just to add to my knowledge base is all.

i will pull some screen shots from the manual, it matches what i have

let me find the link for the manual, and i'll post it

'Our' previous (2) class A, the jacks have (2) springs
these are all (1) spring each

and definitely power gear, not the newer lippert versions
  • i found some replacement coil/alternate commercial part online for the valves
    ordered (2) total $45
1 to replace the broken one, one spare

looks like Colaw might have my jack
  • Take it to a hydraulic shop and they can rebuild it for you. I take my jacks off myself and just take the jack in. My son and I repaired the last one. Any place that sells hydraulic seals can match them.

Mine were double springs. And there were just two tabs where the springs attached welded to the landing plate. The plate would swivel. I think most of them are made this way.

I'd sure like to see a picture or two of your jacks and jack landing feet.

Any chance those landing pads are custom?

I have seen jacks with a multi-hole plate welded along the side of the jack used to bolt to various frames. So maybe your jacks are 'aftermarket'?

crawled under there and measured the retracted jack retracted size 18.25 inches aka jack model 500235
  • My '04 Bounder with 3-point Power Gear system was a 12,000#. Can't help with any numbers but I also had a heavy leak in the same passenger side rear jack. Just added ATF stop leak approx every 2 out of the 12 years I owned it. It stopped shortly after adding it and wouldn't need it again until I stupidly try to level on an unlevel site.

The coil, had two of them with so much corrosion that the electrical tab just fell off. I'd remove the coil, use a mini rotary tool with a cutting disk to cut into the molded plastic around the broken off terminal until there was enough to work with. Than cut off the spade terminal from a new crimp terminal. Soldered that to the broken off piece, and viola'! I'd restored operation.

See the info about that fix, here: Fixing Power Gear jack coils
