Progressive insurance charges a cancellation fee

Sold three different insured vehicles in the past 6 months and each time I received a check for the unused portion of the term. As far as the statement that someone

has to do your paperwork? What are they doing if they are not doing your paperwork? I have Mercury. Claims handled fast, accurate and efficient. AND their

premiums for the coverage I need are lower than ANY other insurance company AND they have my homeowners Insurance as well.

Who pays for those constant ads on TV. Got a mirror handy?

May want to rethink this after some cool off time. Been with progressive for many years. Platinum member. My brothers wife bought own agency for American Family and did a quote for us. (3 cars,2 motorcycles, 1 trailer and the MH) saved me just over 1500 but without the MH because they were more than double the cost for like coverage. Even added some coverage we didn't have.

Have you asked whether you can insure the Harley for 12 months? My company actually charges less for a whole year than for 6 months. The actuary calculates the risk as though you want insurance for the entire 6 months. If they calculate for the entire year, the table takes into account the lay-up over the cold months.

I always just inquire "Who is your service agent?" to the person on the line. "What is a service agent?" is the normal reply. "The person who receives notices of suit and inquiries from the regulatory authorities of my state". "I intend to file a formal complaint with the Consumer Fraud Protection division of the state attorney general's office".

Silence on the phone. "Please wait a moment while I speak to my supervisor". Pause. "Sir, we have determined to remove the charge from your account".

And I ain't bluffin'. The last thing, for example, an insurance company wants is an inquiry from any state Insurance Commissioner's office or any states Office of the Attorney General.

They learned these tricks, of course, from the bankers. They hound you and nickle and dime you to death. It has become a major source of income for them in this low interest rate environment. I believe in just being very nice and then being very polite, firm and assertive.

Works for me most of the time. Too many people just roll over and that encourages unjustifiable fees and greed.

Give me bad credit because I got a better deal. I don't think so. They still haclve to fight the fraud on credit card which I push. They just push people hecause they think they can. I just don't put up with that stuff. Just because I subscribe to insurance, magazines, club memberships etc doesn't mean I am obligated or pay a penalty. This is still America and not totally controlled by big companues. Aledge fraud and watch how fast they back off.

Maybe...except that it would go down in his credit/insurance record as a cancellation for nonpayment. Likely to cost more than thirty bucks in the long run.

I cancelled my mothers car insurance when she fell ill and Sentry would not refund a dime, even though she just paid her 6 month premium.

Talk about crooks. Stay away from SENTRY!
