I also noticed that everyone uses a Ford chassis and engine and I'm curious why? GM, Volvo etc make good ones as well. Why does Ford have the lock on gassers?

The workhorse went out of production for gassers a few years ago so Ford is the only game in town. I understand that GM is bringing back a MH chassis but not sure when that will happen.
