Replacing Dish 211 Receiver

We have a Dish 211 receiver, which you can only get programing on one TV at a time. What I am wanting to do is get a different receiver from a friend so I can watch a different program on another TV a the same time. If I remove the card from the 211 and install it in the other receiver will it work?

    I have an external HD on my 211K and only wanted to run it when recording/playing and not on all the time. I finally discovered in the DVR selection there is a choice to remove drive. hopefully using that will make it quicker/easier to remove and replace?
