We bought our new dometic power awning a few months ago through http://www.bigdaddyrvs.com/, price was great. Anybody you order through sends it out to the manufacturer for fulfillment of order so expect a couple of weeks for delivery. Now if your're arranging for a shop to install it then they'll do the ordering and everything. We installed ours, it was hard to beat bigdaddysrv price. CW wasn't even considered, do to prior experiences. Our dealer we bought our coach from wanted $250 to install it, wasn't bad considering we went from manual to power. But in the end the install was rather straightforward.
We've had no issues with our dometic, couldn't see spending the extra money on carefree or any of the others.
Just one other thing, my parents have an outdoor awning on their house, sunbrella material, after two years of use there are tiny little pin holes throughout. Sunbrella states it's normal for their material if left rolled for months at a time, such as in my parents case, in New Jersey. Now it was stated they should unroll it from time to time to air it out during the winter, which they did, but it still developed the pin holes.
Now we also boat, and can tell you that the sunbrella bimini top on our boat developed the same pin holes. But in our case it was about $200 for a new one. And it's already developing pin holes. We clean and treat it often. Even new it seems to "leak" as in droplets of water develop and drop down.
The sunbrella does look nice.
