RV camping along I-17 south of Flagstaff

HI- We're currently sitting in American RV Park a little west of Albuquerque on our way to California.

I've been looking at the map for the area south of Flagstaff (an hour or so) for a place to stop, and I can't even find a village or town. Are there random campgrounds along 17 south? All we really need is electricity and we'll only be overnight, so it doesn't need to be wonderful.
By the way, we're cutting west/southwest just north of Phoenix.

Any ideas?

    We have stayed at a nice RV park just north of where hwy 74 goes west off of I17 just north of Phoenix. There is a Frontier village next to the RV park. Sorry I didn't have the time to research the name on-line.

    If we're tired we'll stay closer to Flagstaff. Otherwise we'll stay at the park closer to Phoenix.

    I second Distant Drums in Camp Verde. It's one of our all-time favorite RV parks, even though the concrete pads are not always level. Super nice folks, too.

    If you have some extra time it was always neat for us to go to the SEDONA area and wake up looking at the sun hit some of the red rocks around their mtns...

    Flagstaff also has some good camping north on 89.. Just don't stay near the East/West railroad. There will be a loud train about every 5 minutes all night long...

    We always type in CAMPING into google maps when in strange areas. Then you can find where all the good campgrounds are at.

    It is called Pioneer RV Park. We have relatives that stay there in the winter.

    Actually the RV park is at exist 225 off of I 17 the same exit as the Pioneer village. Goggle Pioneer village as they have a web site.:)

    Camp Verde is roughly halfway between Phoenix and Flagstaff right off I-17

    6 parks near Camp Verde.........LINK

    Distant Drums easiest to get to.

    We are at Distance Drums. Great pRk. Had dinner at casino and it was great. Thanks for the suggestion. This is a keeper.
