Just curious if you're not happy with the handling of your Palazzo. - Storage_ManExplorer

We just got the Palazzo about 3 weeks ago. I've driven it to Joplin and back and then to Lawrence KS and back. Our privious MH was a 07 Georgetown 315DS F53 W/V10. The Palazzo is LIGHT YEARS ahead of the Georgetown in every way! I had put a Roadmaster anti sway bar and Bilstein shocks on the Georgetown just to make it survivable to drive in the wind.
I now belive what I've been told...once you drive a diesel pusher you'll never go back to a gas rig!
I saw a post somewhere that mentioned Safe-T-Steer and was just curious. We are headed out for a month or so soon...probably 4500 to 5000 miles. - GlennLeverExplorerI have seen this mentioned and am wondering what it is.

5000 miles is a good trip. You may know if you need the assistance of a stabilizer after the trip.
While they are likely useful for a blow out I have found I stopped over correcting my steering after 10k miles of driving. I do not feel like I need a stabilizer like I did initially. - gatorcqExplorerCurrently there are 2 products on the market:
Steer Safe Stabilizer and Safe-T-Plus. Both do the same job but differently. This the word from Henderson.
At a Rally, both producds were there. I talked to both, I reviewed both online, including the installation procedure. I saw I could do either of them in an hour.
Redlands Truck wanted $900, which included the installation for the Safe-T-Plus.
Steer safe had a show special of $375, which included installation by the factory guys.
I choose the Steer safe, felt it was just as good a product and was a better value.
Since we have had it installed, we feel it is worth the investment if just for tire blow-out. However, since then we have notice it is easier steering, especially when big rigs past us. We also happen to be on the road during the big winds in South Dakota and into Nebraska. Let me say, it was hard, I imagined it would have been worst without it.
Steering 1
safe-t-plus
Steering 2
steersafe
I hope this helps in your decision, 1 option for you (which I plan on doing), if you ever go to Grants Pass, OR. Stop by Henderson and let them do a complete analysis of the rig. From there you can make decision based on price and what is practical for you.
