I am using an APP called Dash Command, you can get it from the Apple App store or Googe play app store. there are other versions such as Torque app. these are the only 2 good apps. there are others, but they are not as good.
I never heard of this before. This sounds awesome. I found the app for my phone called DASHCOMMAND. But I am having trouble locating the Bluetooth devise. I need it for a 2007 F350. Any advise? - ILVMYGTExplorerThe "Torque" app will work with any Android device (i.e., tablet). The app is free or $5. You will need a bluetooth ELM 327 reader. The reader can be had to as little as $10. Although the $25 and up are better. Since it is Bluetooth connected is it wireless between the vehicle and the phone or tablet. It will work with any OBD 2 system (i.e., not limited to your motorhome.) The app will allow you to build a dash board with just about any parameter the Power Control Module (PMC) monitors. You can also have several pages you can page through if you want of need more information.
The app will read and clear fault codes. It will even clear them on the fly. We did that with a cylinder mis-fire one time. - alkillionExplorerThe Scan Guage-D handles two different round OBD connectors found on Diesels. Go to their web site and it will tell you the "J" buss specifics.
- Neptune03dogExplorerMy HR 34' 2003 Cummins 300hp Diesel has a round engine diagnostics plug. Anyone know which OBD, if any, will work with it that I can get from Amazon as an example? Thanks in advance for your thoughts.

Just for information, Scan gage/ultra gage keep the computer powered-up even when the engine is turned off. This might be a problem if you dry camp for an extended period. I don't know about the dongle.
Mine shuts off within seconds of turning off engine. 2mA draw to maintain memorie. Good luck.

For me I only have trans temp and engine temp displayed. I do have a couple more gauges set up, but they are not a concern. My phone is in a mount on the windshield just like a scan gauge, so it is very user friendly.
Even on a scan gauge you only have 2 monitors displayed. Very easy to just swipe to the side to go the next display. When I get a class A I will have an IPad or Tablet to monitor the gauges. There is a bit more dash area in class A so the I pad or Tablet will fit better!
Scan Gauge displays 4 parameters at a time! Get your facts straight. Thanks.

Really! that`s how you approach that?! I hope you were joking and forgot the ;). thanks for the info. like I said in a previous post, I have only ever seen one in a car and couldn`t remember if it was 2 or 4 parameters.
Sheesh! :S - chili_s_tripExplorer II

Jack H - IAMICHABODExplorer III think that they are worthwhile to have but a little spendy.
I use mine to monitor the RPM, my little Class C doesn't have a Tach, as well as the water temp,MPG and speed,On one screen and I also have it set up to monitor other things on the other screens. Just a push of a button and I have a lot of info that I want.
I also like the feature of being able to read and clear a code if it pops up.
As I said it is a a bit expensive but I picked mine up on Amazon for $120, well below what it normally sells for by using CamelCamelCamel
I use that website to track what I want, easy to use and just put what you want to pay and they will E mail you when the price gets to or below what you have selected. - Bucky1320ExplorerI purchased a ScanGauge, and then realized that the outlet up front to plug it into was dead. Never attached to the one in the rear with the engine. It's a pain in the rear to find where to route that big cord end and then re-seal all the openings.
The dongles listed weren't the 6 pin round. I would love a way to avoid running the wire and instead Bluetooth from the rear plug up to the scan gauge. Is that a pipe dream? - spotrotExplorerI'm very pleased with my ScanGauge for an entirely different use.
Set to display TPO (throttle position opening)on my 2004 Ford V-10 f53 chassis, it shows exactly when it's about to downshift (76). Then I just press the cruise button down once or more to drop the TPO reading under 76 and it won't downshift. This has proved to be a huge help to prevent constant downshifting and upshifting on some stretches.
On my previous workhorse (chevy) chassis, the gas pedal provided sufficient feel to anticipate downshifting but not so with the F53.
The other parameters I selected to display at the same time are are instant mpg,
average mpg. I must be masochistic.
