shower leaks

i have a 2012 coachman freelander that leaks water .any thoughts on fixing would be help full. i found the fitting on back of valve to be not tight from factory . caulked around valves where leaking . caulked door frame where leaking . begining to think coachman never meant u to use the shower just looks good to sell .any one else like to use their own shower . the ones at the campgrounds are nice but i like to use my own .
  • if you have a leek in a line you really need to replace that section of line if its at a fitting you can usually take it off and put Teflon tape or plumbers putty on the threads and re install and tighten it to stop the leak. also there should be at the least a bead of caulk around the frame of the shower door/walls if that's the area you are referring to. If you still have a leak at the fittings it will come back to haunt you in the future if you don't completely fix it now. experience is sometimes a costly teacher.
  • I caulked (with clear stuff) all around the frame of the shower, and both sides of the sliding door track, in BF's trailer. There was initially a problem with water running out under the sliding door track.
  • i pressure tested valves after finding loose connection from factory and sealed all this almost stopped the leak . should there be a strip of sealer under the frame of shower like the gray stuf u see on older campers ?
  • should be a gasket under the shower valves, if not there's your problem, or if it wasn't winterized it prob has a hairline crack in the assembly. replace it, it's easy
