Slide out rollers on 1995 Newmar london aire

Is there any shortcut tricks to change out the slide out roller myself , unsure if you can let it go out half way and pry up the slideout to gain enough room to replace, these rollers have an orange plastic covering the metal rollers and it is coming off the middle roller and leaving pieces of plastic in the carpet and the holding bracket is scoring the carpet.
