Seafoam cleans fuel systems including injectors. If an injector is badly clogged it may break some crud loose while cleaning. - harley-daveExplorerWell, according to the seafoam site you can use it to stabilize fuel and store it for up to 2 years. read Here.
Dave - rgatijnet1Explorer IIIFor three to four months, Sta-Bil is best. Double the amount of Sta-Bil will double the life of your protection. Put the Sta-Bil in BEFORE you fill the tanks and then run the generator on the way to your destination to make sure that all of the fuel left sitting in the generator fuel lines will be protected.
- AH64IDExplorerEDIT: OP has a diesel, not gas.
Use Amsoil Diesel Concentrate, it's good to use every tank but at a minimum I would use it before sitting. - Captain_HappyExplorerI read somewhere where seafoam would clog fuel injectors. I might be wrong.
- Mfar1234ExplorerSounds like Sta-bil would be best ... I spend 3-4 months at each location ..I do run the generator and my Class a for 30-40 min every month.
Just wanting something for this scenario.
Seafoam sounds like something I need when burning a full tank.
I've been told "not to mix" seafoam and sta-bil --it will gel? - mikeh449Explorersta bil is to be used for storage of gasoline seafoam is used to clean combustion camber and fuel system
- GjacExplorer IIIWhat are you trying to accomplish? These are two different products.
