How do you get rid of stick bugs in a rv

- I agree the cold does not kill them. We had a fairly hard winter here in North Carolina. Last week I was working on the entry door (installing another door switch) and was hammering pretty hard and two climbed out from inside the framework!

x2 - Unfortunately I think they are here to stay. I know they don’t like cold but I think it’s a myth that cold kills them. Been a long hard winter on the mountain often stints below zero for days on end. Last weekend it warmed up in the 50’s and they were all over the garage. I found mine were getting into the RV via the Furnace compartment, water heater compartment, refer and micro vents. So I got some aluminum window screen (not nylon) and with some aluminum tape, screened in all the vents. Furnace and water heater still work fine as the aluminum screen can take the heat. I did it all from the inside of the panels so you can’t see it. It’s helped quite a bit.- 2 words. You don't.

A large pan, a half a gallon of water and some Dawn dish detergent. Then, shine a desk lamp on the pan of water.
Place the pan of dish water with the light shining on it in a dark room for twelve hours at a time from 7:00 at night until 7:00 in the morning.- Carry guinea fowl instead of dogs, they will eat stink bugs (and ticks to, but you didn't ask)
Spend some time in the desert, they just dry out and die, well some do.
We spent some time in Charlottesville and in the woods by our son's house, we loaded up with uncountable numbers. They have left us a few at a time as we crossed the country, they hate the cold and don't show themselves when the coach is below 68 (but we aren't happy either) and they cannot tolerate desert dry. Sitting in Santa Barbara we are "only" seeing 2 or 3 a day inside the coach. I catch them and flush them into the black tank. I will not visit my son again when they are at their peak. - If you really want to get rid of all of them in your RV and not just the ones you can see use this:Raid Fumigator
Be advised this is only a seasonal treatment, in the fall they will return and invade your RV again to hibernate for the winter. Tom N wrote:

I think the federales are looking for you Tom! Made me laugh.- Had a real infestation on my last house. Took me about three years of about 5 times a day but the buggers were all but gone by last September.

Spray bottle mixed with 2 parts dawn dish soap and fill with water. They will make maybe 6 inches and be dead. Then you can pick up the carcasses and dispose of them. Also spray every crook and cranny you can find.
