I just purchased a Palazzo 33.3 and I suspect that you chose a Palazzo for most of the same reasons that I did. I would like to start out by saying that it is what I expected and I really love the floorplan. I have no regrets about purchasing it. Having said that, I have found 2 "miss-statements" in the advertising that you may want to be aware of before you take the coach home.
First: It is NOT rated to pull 10,000lbs. Yours will be rated for 5,000 to 7,000 depending on how you load it. I like to think that this is a very conservative rating but you need to make your own call on that.
Second: It does NOT have front disc brakes. No Palazzos do and Thor changed their website in the last few days to correct that statement.
Assuming that you go ahead with the purchase, several things to do before leaving the dealer:
1) Check underthe slides, the front chairs and dash for building debris such as loose screws, cutouts for wiring and plumbing. I got a couple of handfuls out from under mine.
2) Make sure that you know where the block heater switch is and that it is off. Mine is on the front left corner of the bed pedestal about knee high. The switch can be accidently turned on easily and is generally covered by the bedspread so you cannot see it. I figure that I ran $20 worth of electricty through mine before finding that. As an interim measure turn off the breaker suppling the heater but make sure that this does not mess with your 50 amp service. There are discussions in other threads how this can happen. As a long term measure replace the switchwith a timer switch from Home Depot for $20. These switchs are harder to accidently turn on and will turn themselves off soon enough even if they are forgotten.
3) Check all plumbing for leaks. Not having the kitchen sink in a slide will help out so you probably won't have any issues.
Other than the breaks I have not found any issues that I cannot fix easily and all of the critical stuff seems to be done right.
Good luck and I hope that you enjoy it!
