Thinking about buying this as first mh

I would make the 1 1/2 hr drive and check it out since your a handy man and do rehabs the interior will be no issues and yes RV electric is very much the same as residential wiring. The Main concerns will be in the Mechanical condition of the motor transmission and Genset. Thats were the Major Money will be needed if there is an Issue. Get oil samples for analysis is the best thing you can do.

It was a party limo. You will probably want a new mattress. :W

With your rental renovation experience you should have no problem making all the house items work as intended. Check it out, run the numbers, and if you can get it for a good price, buy it. You could have a great find and you'll enjoy bringing that nice motorhome back to life.

I don't really see how someone can look at a picture and see $30,000 worth of repairs. I would suggest that you take a certified rv inspector with you or someone that really knows motorhomes. Look at it very, very, closely.By the pictures it looks like it has definetly been very used, but cosmetics aren't the worst of it.

The engine, transmission, tires, servicing and lube, and the genset, frig, ac system and heat all need to be checked out. Some of these things are high dollar to replace! But check it out first before you run away, you just never know.

I'm looking at a 2007 DP that has been at a dealer lot for 8 months, and it's still sitting there as I just can't figure out why its still there. Price is good and it is in very good shape. I just can't get myself to commit.....

Guy says batteries and tires are new but that he thinks the issue with fridge is electrical as the wiring has splices in it. I'm handy so are the guys that work for me. I would fully plan on getting it cheap. Low to mid 30s , I own 50 single family homes and have rehabbed them all so I know how those things go. Is electrical wiring in an rv at all similar to a house//

From experience with RV's...even new ones are sometimes in rough condition>

Also note that there is front bumper damage. There could be damage behind the bumper that will need to be checked.

As you all know, pictures never show the 'real' condition. If we can see the flaws in the pictures, can you imagine what it looks like in person?

As described and by the pictures its rough alright but its priced very cheap and I bet you offer 35-38 area u own it.U can put 10K+ into redoing it and have yourself a well build real nice diesel pusher
Better go make sure it runs good and sHifts good and drives good
do a dry run on dumping holding tanks, hook up water and power etc and make sure the systems work etc
the pictures all show cosmetic stuff and that's all easly repairable
tires alone are 4500$ If your DIY guy its fine IF u have to hire someone it may be a bad buy

Whenever I see an ad like this, it makes me wonder about the photos. Considering this is a 10 year old unit and was used as a "limo" and in "rough" condition, I wonder how "real" the photos actually are. Are these photos of the coach when it was brand new? Or are they actually current photos of the coach. It sure does look nice and (in my opinion) the photos don't align with the description (rough and limo).

I may be wrong, but if it really is that clean, that shiny, in that good of shape, it's definitely worth a visit to go see it!

As the previous poster also stated, if this is your first RV and you are planning on Full Timing in it, you may find yourself with a disaster waiting to happen. If you are TRULY serious about this coach, the dealer should pull it into a heated bay and unwinterize all the systems so you can determine if they actually work or not. This is the absolute least the dealer can do for you before you purchase. I would insist on this before signing anything.

If the coach REALLY is as good a condition as the photos indicate, even with a couple items not completely functional, it still might be a good buy. You are best to INSIST the dealer run all the systems before purchasing so you know exactly what you are buying. That's sill a lot of money, and he's still making his profit too. So don't be shy about this.

I looked at the photos again after reading the latest update posts on here. I see the missing cabinet doors. Photos might be current. Still worth a visit in my opinion. You can always walk away, and it might teach you something about your next selection.

I would also worry about how well the engine and drivetrain have been maintained if the interior is so bad. Major engine or transmission problems could be very expensive. At a minimum,get some oil samples and have them analyzed.
