Tires Michelin vs Yokohama

I have a 2003 Travel Supreme 40" RV. Currently have Michelin 295/80, 22.5 tires that are almost 10 years old with only 20,000 miles. I have read and been told that dry rot can lead to a blow out. Looking at replacements, (6 tires) Michelin @ $6+K and Yokohama @ $4+k. Not sure which is best. Anyone have experience with Yokohama tires on their RV? Don't want to cheep out if Yokohama is not a good tire. Would appreciate some insight. Also, anyone know of other makes as well? Thanks.

    The manufacturers mentioned in the prior posts are respected. Bridgestone is another good possibility. Everybody doesn't make the 295/80R22.5 so just do research.

    The price you mention on the Michelin is very high. If you are an FMCA member check prices through their national accounts program with Michelin.

    Michelin specifically states that if you have tires that are ten years old they should be taken out of service.

    Get the ones with the best deal. A long mileage warranty is not much good with an RV because they dry rot before the tread is gone.

    I put Hankook tires on our coach, after the tire dealer in AZ, who sold ALL brands including Michelin, told me to NOT waste my money on a Michelin. He took me out and showed me the tires on his personal $500K coach and they were Hankook.

    Yokohama is a very good tire and will serve you well, especially for a $2000 savings. Visit a passenger bus depot and look at what is on the OTR busses, not Michelin, at least around here they're not.

    I put Toyo tires on my coach after dealer that sells michelin and Toyo and goodyear told my to go with TOYO...more for my $......
