Up grading TV's in used Holiday Rambler

We ditched the old clunky TV and reclaimed the space. Got a cabinet maker to make a frame that mounted on piano hinges. The TV (wally world) mounts in the frame and serves as a cabinet door. The space behind is perfect for my printer as electric outlets are in place already.

By buying a LED TV you can probably mount it yourself as they are very thin and not that heavy. If it's a gas Endeavor it is on the dog house and it looks like the diesel have in the corner. Our 2007 HR Endeavor came with a flat screen in front and a RCA tube clunker in back. On the back TV I removed the tube job and put a hinged door on the hole and mounted the flat screen to the door. Now I have a nice new storage spot for the computer printer and other stuff. Easy job.

We had a KVH R4 dome dish that was a piece junk. Replaced it with a Wineguard Travler from CW. Works great.

First, I am not great at home improvement projects, but on our old diesel pusher, I replaced a 19" bedroom tv with a 25" Vizio and it was very easy to do. On our new Via, I have replaced the 12V Jensen******tv with another Vizio. So my message is, the same as mdprince, do it yourself. Either put the new tv in the old tv space, or find somewhere else for it. Our diesel pusher also had a roof mounted satellite dish, and in 2011 it cost me over $300 to get it up to standard to pick up Dish tv. Traveler is a good option for satellite, and you can pay Dish on a monthly basis when you need it without a contract. Look at Dishformyrv.com.Dish for My RV. There is a lot of good information on the website. The hardest part of the job is going to be getting the old tv out and disposing of it.

Do a lot of measuring, and you may find new flat screen (hi def) tv's that will fit right in the old openings. That's what I did at first (myself) but when I decided to go bigger with the tv's - I had to find a place that could do wood work and make a new and larger opening and match the stain of the wood we have.

Dish uses 3 satellites (Direct 5) for all their content. So, we got rid of the in motion one on the roof (they can only tune in one satellite at a time) and got a new one made by Winegard called the Trav'ler - Trav'ler and had it installed. Once you are parked, it will rise up and find all 3 satellites.
