Using elbow fitting for water hookup
For some time now I have been using a metal elbow to hook up my water hose (for ease of connection). I like them very much. The problem I have is that they only last a short time, then they start leak...

I have a brass 90 degree connection along with a brass quick connect and the water hoses come with the quick connects already installed. At the faucet end I have a Y with shut offs and the pressure regulator and a quick connect to the outlet where I connect the water hose. This way the hose etc is also protected by the pressure regulator. The y shut off unit allows me to clear the pressure in the hose when we are disconnecting, without getting an unplanned shower from the disconnection.
