- prstlkExplorerIn my 4 purchases of used rigs 2 fives 2 dps. I had simular experiences at 4 different dealers. When we decided on what we wanted we did a thorough walk thru and listed anything and everything we felt needed attention. Tire age battery age rattles Squeaks leaks Handel's missing in short everything. (Even full fuel and propane) The dealer(s) agreed to fix the things on list as part of the WRITTEN sales agreement. Deposit was made things fixed an inspected, deal closed. Remember until you hand over the cash you have control and the worst they can say is no. In both my dp transactions I had to have repairs made after we took possession, neither was a problem. One was two new front tires to adress a vibration problem. In the second a month after purchase I was not happy with the house Batts. Sent an email to the sales manager told him Batts were older then claimed, offered to buy and install them. No problem 4 new 6 volts, mailed receipt, check in a week.
Everything is negotiable.
jw - MagillaGorillaExplorerI was not thinking about buying the extended warranty. I never buy them. To me its a racket.
The coach I am buying comes with a 30 day 50/50 warranty. That means that for 30 days if anything goes wrong they split the repair cost with me 50/50. In addition to that it is also guaranteed to pass inspection. I thought this was a lame warranty but it sounds like it may be better than most for used RVs. - MagillaGorillaExplorer

- LamanExplorerLazyDays in Tampa gives a 30 warranty on all coach items except satellite systems. If you cannot get back to them in 30 days let them know in writing about the issues and they will take care of it when you can get back to them. They will change engine oil and filter but that is it on the chassis.
- mike_brezExplorerI'm pretty sure you purchased from Flagg. When I purchased my PaceArrow from them 13 years ago or so I got a 30 day and I forget the milage warrantee.

Same with my 2006 coach. Asked for a warrantee during negotiations but dealer wouldn't budge on it. Just starting our 5 camping season and have been able to fix everything myself in the drive way. If I was full timing I would give probably get one.
I got ZERO. Mine is a 2007 and I got it for 15k under the average going price for that model. I had to put about $1500 into it to fix all the BS things that were wrong with it. I don't do extended warranties because they usually don't pay and can generally fix any problem myself. - UsualSuspectExplorerIn most states any used vehicle is considered "As-is" when sold. Some folks like the security of having what amounts to an insurance policy to cover anything that may go wrong. If you do, shop somewhere other than the dealer, they overcharge for them, and there are better deals to be had. Make sure you check all systems before you sign, if it need tires or servicing, make sure that part of the deal, even down the brand of tire. They choose not to take care of any items walk. They think because you like the rig you won't, but stand your ground.
- wallynmExplorerNew you get one. Used you buy. Service contract.

When buying a MH from a dealer, what if any warrantee did you get with it? Just trying to see what is common. - kalynzooExplorerWhen we were looking this summer in California and Nevada, ALL previously owned motorhomes were sold AS IS. You were then offered an extended warranty.
