- Jim_NormanExplorerwe are in full swing now! Found all the screws that hold the engine hatch in place, removed it and replaced it so that when I need to I know how to. To make matters easier in the future, the screw heads no longer match the carpet, now plastic coated RED. Should make that easier.
Have a couple items planned for the weekend. Install the sewer pipe storage tube underneath, figure out how to store my new folding ladder. IF temps hold, I might wash it. - BrianinMichiganExplorerStill waiting for warm weather........
- GreyghostExplorerThis last week I prepped the coach for our trip to Alaska, the list is long but not finished yet. Repaired a wire for the dash air that had a cooked connector, removed a the short cargo tray so I could install a new refrigerator/freezer and wired it up. Had a problem with the MP4 connectors on the solar system (their ****), removed the connectors and direct wired the solar panels. Had the front cap painted while we were in Mexico and the screwed up the windshield wipers, fixed those. Re-wired our satellite dish setup to support Directv Genie, will add the Client later this week. Installed 2 new hubcaps on the curb side (hopefully they'll stay on this time).
- Jim_NormanExplorerWell today 'I' didn't actually DO anything to my MH, Except spend $$$. I had it serviced at Freightliner while attending Camp Freightliner. So far I am pretty impressed with the class. No trouble staying awake. Instructor is VERY knowledgeable and also entertaining. This is a two day class, I believe it is well worth it. There is a lot to know. Just being able to walk around underneath the MH while it was up in the air is a learning experience, you get to see where this and that are located and how you might want to handle an issue if you are a DIY person. I usually am, and for many things I'll remain so. Not all that sure about the chassis, engine and trans service.
- turbojimmyExplorerFirmed up my plans for June's Pocono 400 race. It will be the first trek out for the season so I went out to see what needed done. I backed it up a bit more onto the ramps and almost got it level. Should have done it long ago - an extra 1.5" in height made a huge difference. Need to de-winterize, sanitize, change all the fluids, get gas, get propane, and clean, clean, clean. Looking forward to another great season with the old rig.

- BigdogExplorerGetting ready to head out for a few days in Port Townsend. Drained the water tank and ran some unfiltered water in to get some chlorine in the tank and then ran it about 30 miles, got propane, returned a couple of things for the wife at Wal-mart and headed home.Drained the tank and added a bit of filtered water for the trip. Found the inverter/charger wasn't working so called my mobile repair guy, said it was shot, called the warranty company and it was covered, had it replaced and only cost me $100. Gotta love an after market warranty.
- jyrostngExplorer2000 f53 southwind 103,000 miles, my VSS on the rearend quit working. pulled it out, cleaned the metal off the magnet and it worked, changed the 75w140 oil in the rearend, took 4 gallons to fill it. when the VSS quit working, the speedometer quit, the tow light started flashing and the motor wouldn't rev above 2100 rpm, (about 55 mph) had to reset the codes. I bought a new VSS, it only takes a 1/2" wrench to change and is on top of the rearend, one bolt and 20 bucks for a Dorman brand. Now I have a spare. The rearend sounds fine. Broke both 48" windshields leveling it wrong and popped the lower corners out, Unlevel spot using only one right rear jack torqued the frame and cap and the windshields cracked in both front outside corners. Having both replaced in the near future, 855.00 each installed. A friend deal. Expensive learning event.

Today the Splendide washer gave out. I traced it down to a back door interlock switch, put a jumper in place to get it working and will order the new $70 switch "soon". The inverter/ charger also crashed and burned so the maintenance budget is skyrocketing!
Our Xantrex Prosine 2.0 did that about 2 weeks ago. Woke up to the sound of crackling and the smell of burnt circuit board. :E Pulled the shore power cord and went back to bed.
Making do with a Canadian Tire automotive charger when the solar won't quite do. In Weed Ca tonight, overcast and a few snow flurries. Temperature 1C (34F) so will be needing the furnace. Batteries fully charged after the days drive but there will be no solar tomorrow, or likely the next day or two. - Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIToday the Splendide washer gave out.
