My 24 LED panels with 5630 LEDs came in today so I finished off yanking out the 921 incandescents. I'm impressed - 24 5630's push out a lot of light. While I don't have a meter and I don't have the expertise, informally they seem as bright as a 921.
I yanked out some of the early attempts where I bough 3528s and 5050 based LED panels. Much brighter.
Have you any idea how much current each of your 24-5630 lights draw? I'd be interested in knowing. Thanks
Sorry Ten - just saw this.
The answer is - a lot. I get brighter and cooler but I'm NOT saving amps. The 5630's suck, if I recall, about 150mA per LED.
They might be 12's, not 24's. I recall doing back-of-the-envelop math and seeing that my LEDs were taking about as much power as the 921 they replaced.
I do have some 3528 and 5050 based LEDs, obviously they suck a lot less power. But, they're no where near as bright as the 5630's. - Desert_CaptainExplorer III

Hooked the fridge (300w) up the 400/800W inverter to see if it would run. It did run without being overloaded. It did knock down the DC voltage from the battery/converter from 14.1 to 13.6..typically there's 14.1 if it's running full bore. Debating if I want to put a single throw double pole switch and switch it over to the inverter while driving down the road. Looks it run 4.5hrs full bore through the battery just setting.. of course driving and plugged in wouldn't be issue. Save a little on propane although a tank usually last a year the way it is. Less chance of a fire possibly. Decisions decisions..
Careful... You might be searching for a solution for which there is no known problem (the government does this a lot).
Just kidding, frankly I like the idea of the separate double pole switch.

ericsmith, it has to be a lobor of love. My old one was that. But I wouldn't trade being out there. I'll fix, or have someone fix, Just GOTTA GO.
You got it! It's my hobby so don't mind. I work on the RV more than the house. And the tornado black tank rinser didn't leak on the last trip. It does leak a little fresh water out of the black flow valve. Don't think I'm going to worry about it. - woodworker414ExplorerWay to go tenbear.
- tenbearExplorerWe bent the steps on a recent trip and they wouldn't open. The vertical walls were bent about 45 degrees from vertical.
I tried removing the steps and couldn't, the bolts just turned with the nuts and I couldn't get to the heads of the bolts.
I put the jack from my pickup in the space that was bent into a parallelogram. With a variety of pieces of 2 x 4 to stabilize the jack and put the force in the right place, I was able to bend the sides back to vertical.
Turned out to be easier than I expected. - klutchdustExplorer IIPut in new drawer sliders for the large drawer under the fridge, ordered new mini blind s hooks, broke one trying to open the blinds.
- Bill_and_Marie_ExplorerJust a quick wash today but was pleasantly surprised at how well the 303 stuff worked, Bugs came off with just the brush. Will be using this stuff again!
- woodworker414ExplorerJRS950, yep back to the dealer for me. Had a great 4 day camp out with my fellow BugDuckers, A local GS chapter in the STL are.
Dealer work to be done: water heater won't start on gas. electric awning almost didn't tetract this morning. The hot and cold water lines in the bathroom are hookup backwards.Hot is cold and cold is hot. stange sensation while perch on the throne and the hot steam is heating you backside. Back up camera monitor on the dash worked when we left Thursday, but when pulling out of the cg, it would not come on. But when parking in the back driveway it came on and won't turn off. Go figure. And a bubble in the flooring.
