AGM's can still sulfate. You're referring to corrosion on the battery terminals. Oddly, I don't get any corrosion on mine. To answer the OP's question, get whatever fits your budget and camping requirements.
I replaced our 8 wet cell house batteries recently with 8 new AGM's. I also had the two slide-out trays painted as the previous sulfating from the wet cell batteries caused rusting and I was getting tired of cleaning them. Now, no sulfating, no distilled water, no more braking my back bending over.
Worth every penny to me buying the AGM's.

You forgot to add in the discount with a core turn in. My local Sam's Club was selling them at $79.88 this past spring and they gave me $15 a battery taking the price down to $64.00 each.
Sam's Club has Duracell GC2 six volt for $85 each.
Bought 4 in March and am very pleased with them. Manufactured by East Penn/Deka in PA. - Mr_Mark1ExplorerI replaced our 8 wet cell house batteries recently with 8 new AGM's. Well, I guess you get what you pay for ????

Not necessarily! It all depends on where you buy the batteries. Lot of people including myself have bought batteries through RV dealers or Camper World. Two chassis batteries at Camper World cost me almost four hundred dollars installed. They lasted about three years. The heavy duty chassis batteries that I bought at Napa were exactly the same battery without the Interstate name, but both manufactured by Johnson with the same rating on the cross reference for around a little over one hundred dollars each.
So my point is that it could be the same battery but they just install or stick a stick on saying the name of the company that wants to sell it.
It is like if you buy a Caterpillar battery. It will probably cost twice more just because it says Caterpillar. But it probably is made by the same company that manufactures most of the batteries in the US. - OnaQuestExplorer

Sometimes yes, and sometimes no. For some (most) folks it's more economical to go with quality GC2s. There are some pretty poor performing AGM batteries out there. - WoodGlueExplorerWell, I guess you get what you pay for ????

My house batteries are 7 years old and while they are still working alright,I want to replace them on my terms, not when I have no choice. What is the recommended replacement? I have a bank of four. Thanks all.
Unless u boon dock a huge amount and use the batterys dont buy any exspensive AGM stuff,Buy the costco $79.00 golf cart batterys as they are hard to beat price wise and are decent. - RayChezExplorerI have four wet cell type houses. Each set has lasted average five years before they start going bad and I change them out. The first two sets of four were Interstate U-2200 batteries. My third set I decided I did not want to drive thirty miles to get the Interstate batteries, so I decide to try a local auto parts store and he just happen to have four six volt golf cart batteries that were the exact size as the Interstate that were in the coach, BUT! these were manufactured here in the states by Deka. He said they were very good batteries, so I bought them. Can not tell you much about Deka now, but so far they are doing the job well. And they cost me a lot less then buying the Interstate batteries through an RV dealer.
Then on the chassis side I have two twelve volt batteries and those are sealed batteries maintenance free and that is my second set since I bought the coach new in 2003. The first were also Interstate sealed workaholic batteries. So on my second set I decided to just buy the new chassis batteries from Napa heavy duty twelve volt sealed maintenance free batteries and they have been holding up real good. And those cost me a lot less then the two Interstates I had bought before from Camper World. Like they say, Live and Learn! LOL - OnaQuestExplorer
