What is the average lifespan of a rooftop A/C unit?
Our bedroom A/C has stopped blowing cold air, just blows room temperature. Motorhome is a 2012 and we've full-timed for 6 years so we've used it the whole time. Thanks in advance.

- 1994 Bounder 2 A/C both work great
- 13 years, still working
- 96 Sahara. Could use the coach as a meat locker with both running.
- 1999 National Tropical had to replace the start-up capacitor on the front but both units are from the factory. Of course we live in Oregon so we only use the AC in July and August :)
- The AC in my 1972 Winnebago was still working fine when I traded it in 2007. Both AC's in the 1989 HR I have now work fine, no repairs. So I have gotten at least 30 yrs of service from the AC's that I have owned.
- Neighbors had both fail in 5 years. Only used it during the snowbird season, but was in a high salt environment.
I think a lot depends on where you're located. - 2005 unit purchased unused in 2009. Roof air still works well--but I try to avoid having to run it.

Appx. 400 years. :( - 1999 winnie. I had to replace the the front AC blower motor 2 years ago. Otherwise both are working fine.
- Both A/C's in our previous 1995 coach were still working fine when we visited the current owner last month in Florida.
