What was the 1st year for slide rooms in Winnebago diesel motorhomes?

Sorry I didn't mean to offend anyone. I did have fun looking up what esoteric meant. ?? I was hoping for some owner input from someone experienced with 90's era motorhomes. I have since found the which models had slides info on Winnebago's excellent website.

I googled Winnebago Slide Outs and, I got a Winnebago page that said 1995 was the first year that they introduced a slide out.

fwiw, this class A forum is a total dream compared to some others on the board. Read a couple posts over in the "Tow Vehicles" section if you really want to appreciate this section.

And I actually think the moderators on all parts of this board do an amazing job and policing things. If anything I'd say it's almost too much supervision and thread closing. Many other message boards I've hung out at over the year in other topics have little to no moderating and things get heated but also have a way of working themselves out. People eventually get tired of throwing mud across cyberspace and move on.

Newmar was the first to have a slide in their production motorhomes in 1990. They have the most experience with slides. You might consider one of those also for a quality MH.

In general the Class A diesel pushers have air suspension and air brakes. Some manufacturers have produced low-end models with spring suspension and hydraulic brakes in the past, but I don't believe that Winnebago has.

Looking through them....1996 Vectra had a slide and diesel option.
