WHERE HAS ALL MY POWER GONE

WHERE HAS ALL MY POWER GONE

Here is my storm story , I had run geny for three days suppling the house with the most needed creature comforts 110 v water well,Light and coffee. Then on fourth day no power out of front storage compartment outlet which has GFI with inverter plugged into it ( not sure if I pulled the plug or not memory lose). I moved cord to rear compartment outlet which had power and went on for next eight days then house power was restored by great out of state power crews. The next day after nice hot shower I start to check MH outlets for problem and find there is no power in TV cab.outlet , bath outlet with GFI and front lower outlet at passanger side floor outlet but have power in all other outlets. I check and try to reset GFIs but no luck. I pull outlets and check wire connection and put test light to them with no power, check all breakers in panal and wire connection to breakers all tight and all are hot still no clue. Question to all where has all my power gone long time passing!!!
I have called Newmar tech support who pullled up my Vin. and E-Mailed wire diag. which shows all outlets on one circuit, they seem to think it is a lose wire on one of the outlet but I have power on other outlets in between powerless outlets. HOW CAN THAT BE*** I also have power coming in to the inverter in the compartment which has the dead outlet . HELP IS NEEDED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LONG PAINFULL STORY TO TRY TO PUT INTO WORDS.

  • Are you using an adapter to connect to shore power?
Inverter seems to small to run more then TV so doubt that is problem.
How much load were you pulling off genset for house? It could have burnt off peircing devices in receptacles.
  • The inverter is a 400 watt Interfaced Heart without outlet which was installed at build time. The hard wired romex cable to it has power but the input which I take is the prewired plug is not powered since that is plugged into the GFI outlet that I no went out first.
  • Sure sounds like the inverter has tripped out. TV receptacles are normally on inverter.
Yes, most of the standard receptacles are the piercing type.
Check your inverter first. Make sure it has incoming 120 volts AC then check output. Make and model of inverter?
  • I have not pulled straight outlets out are they all piercing type which I take it just push into cutting contacts as the GFI,s are all screw on outlets.
  • That happened to me once and I had to reset the 20 amp circuit breaker on the inverter. It is a little black button and after resetting it,all was well.
  • I did reset fuse on inverter which did not seem to be popped but did not check with test plug but will do so in the am:. Could it be a problem before the panel as transfer switch or 50 amp. plug.I would not think the outlets would be without a breaker in the panel but possible there is another breaker that Newmar is not tell me about.Crazy thing there is power in outlets up stream and down stream also. I may have to call in a tech or elec.guy.But still will be checking transfer switch wiring for lose lugs in the am:. Well good thing is spring is still four months off and I'am winterized.
  • As Bud said, there may be a receptacle with a piercing connection loose. However, the three light circuit tester won't find that because it is most likely in a receptacle that is still powered, but not feeding the power to outlets downstream. Good luck.
  • If you cannot reset a GFCI receptacle, indicates there is no power to them.
If you have one of the little three light circuit tester plug it in to outlets to see if it can identify the problem.

Yes, a receptacle may have a piercing connection loose.
You said you have inverter. Did you try to push the reset on it?
