Why a small class C ?

Toad-equipedness vs toadlessness is a personal preference issue. To me it is a sacrifice to tow anything including initial investment in towing equipment, effort to hook-up and un-hook and reduced maneuverabilty while hooked up in gas stations and parking en-route. We have friends who were social campers who did a lot of driving around in their Saturn with friends after parking their rig.
We have never felt a strong need for a toad car to explore local sites and didn't mind occasional 5 minute disconnecting activity to take our 27 footer touring the surrounding territory or going into town. Don't leave valuables behind though.

There are other options available too. Such as leave the toad home if you won't need it, rent a car in a nearby town or delivered to your campsite, take the shuttle bus into Boston,etc., from the RV park.

Would like to hear more comparisons of usability issues yo've noticed moving from a TL 213. A permanent big bed seems to be a biggie for a lot of folk (I think Martha and I are neutral on this issue).

On toadlessness...I see you have not stayed overnight in Iowa's Amana Colonies, located a few hundred miles from you. You need to traverse a 7 mile loop to see all its great/interesting attractions (there is an old-time hardware store IIRC). To take in things like a homestyle farm all-you-can-eat breakfast (A MUST) requires you drive a couple miles from the RV sites (several hundred water/elec hookups.

This would be a great place to do a personal-preference study of how necessary a toad really is for you. Might even try it once w/ and once w/o a toad, but try w/o 1st

Our Sunseeker 2300 is the fifth RV we've had, and it's the first one we are completely satisfied with. Sure, there are compromises, but we are happy with them because of what we get out of the deal. The 60x80 queen bed sealed the deal, I think. The access to it is big enough that we don't have to crawl over top of one another, although it is easier if one person bends their legs a bit.

Plenty of water capacity and storage space, and all the usual features. Easy to drive and park in towns. Good MPG. A toad is not needed although we are going to be using one on some trips in the future. Without one, we learned how to keep things put away and be able to pull out of the site without too much hassle.

You're correct. My building has expansion joints in the concrete. My 'C' covers two of those plus another 4 feet on each end. The two full sections are 10', not 15' as I thought. So, 28' plus with bumpers.
Still a big change from my previous 'B'.

It's all about maneuverability. I just did 5K on my small C and went to places I would never consider in a bigger C or a class A ( I had both bigger C's and class A ).

My thoughts were always " if you're going to spend X amount on an RV get the biggest you can for the money. Well I did that and made a mistake, because I never could take it to many areas that I wanted to go.

On this last trip I used the small C as a vacation car, a camper, a resting place when the wife and daughter went shopping, essentially it went everywhere.

In the past I would go from RV spot to RV spot and that was it, then we were suck with no toad.

The small C get me everywhere and I get to sleep in it to boot.

That's what we have. But for our year (1991) they used a Chevrolet chassis with the shorter cab, same house, at 22ft.

We took it to the beach for July Fourth and backed it up to the sand. Those huge windows give us a 270 degre view out the back. Really fun.
