- Captain_HappyExplorerIt's just one more thing is this world for you worry about. Shout answer, they come from the factory with em.
- gboppExplorerI'm sure if the RV manufacturers could save a dollar by buying the cab/chassis without the windshield rear view mirror, there would be no Class C units with them installed.

Gee, that has never happened to me. ha. - klutchdustExplorer IIWhen my toad is behind me I can see the CB antenna bobbing in the wind. I also use it to see what just fell on the floor that I left on the counter top.
- PhotomikeExplorer IIII had a mirror with the truck camper and it was nice to be able to look behind to see if the camper was still there. I do not have one in the Class C or the B and I have to say it seems strange as when you hear a noise when driving it would be nice to look behind to see what is what.
Honestly the only time you really need one is when backing up so a good rear view camera is sufficient. - bukhrnExplorer IIII have my rear window covered, so the mirror is worthless except for seeing inside the house, if not for that limited use, I'd remove it altogether, it's not required in many states anyways as long as you have both side mirrors , I can't see out the rear window in the mirror anyways, even if it weren't covered.
But I have the two side mirrors and the rear camera which work very well. - SeonExplorer III have a rear view mirror inside the cab which allows me to check the passenger's positions while driving. I also installed a two rear cameras, one to view the hitch while backing up to hook and the other at roof line height to view cars behind me as well as to view what I'm towing.
- tenbearExplorerAs others have said, that's how the chassis comes from Ford, or Chevy. In my case it was useless so I replaced it with rear view camera. The camera is inside the rear window and the existing rear view mirror is replaced with a monitor. Gives a real good rear view to watch the towed car and anything else going on behind me.

Probably required by feds
Easier to leave than remove
Very helpful with one of those Fresnel lenses in the bedroom window
CW's price for Fresnel is less than Amazon
We use the big one - ronfishermanModeratorIf your motorhome has a rear window. The rear view mirror works well to see behind motorhome with a Wide Angle Rear Window Lens.
