window washing-Happy Camper Tank cleaner

I realize this is probably one of those stupid questions that gets under everyone's skin but....I'll ask any way.
Today I "tried" to wash the inside and outside of my new class A motor home, well it's new to me, front window. It looked really good until the sun hit it just right, then not so much. I used Windex. I applied the windex and cleaned with a paper towel twice. What am I doing wrong? What should I be doing in order to have a squeaky clean window?

Second, dumb question....has anyone any personal experience with the Happy Camper tank treatment chemicals? When I had my 5th wheel I used nothing but Calgon and NEVER, knock on wood, had a problem with cleaning my tanks or odors. Since this is a second hand motor home I feel compelled to use something stronger than Calgon.

    My wife uses vingar and water (soft water) on the windows with a soft cloth, and in the tanks we use RV Digest, about 6 capfuls and it cleans everything inside the tank and all the sensors!

    Paper towels start to dissolve in water or Windex etc. Old newspapers worked on outside of windshields as did Cocaa Cola with phosphoric acid.
    Best thing possibly is micro fiber towels not washed in fabric softener and Armor All or other window cleaner that is safe on plastic tint etc.
    I've heard the micro fibers work well with plain water.
    The micro fiber towels are starting to get cheaper in construction but not price so shop carefully.

    Just to let you all know. The happy camper worked great. The black tank was entirely liquid no solids whatsoever. I will continue to use it as I'm really very pleased.

    Washed the windows this last trip out with 50% plain water and 50% vinegar. I used a micro fiber cloth to wipe the windows dry. Worked like a charm.

    I give up on Windex, also. When I was a kid, it had "Ammonia-D" and didn't leave streaks, smudges in the sunshine, or look like I used grease on the windshield on those foggy mornings. Today's Windex has no ammonia and is pretty much a junk product on glass...especially automotive glass where seeing clearly at all times is the name of the game. I've been using straight vinegar, and sometimes 50/50 vinegar/water spray.

    We use water and a Norwex window cloth---shiniest windows you ever saw! We also just use water and one of the Norwex antibac cloths to clean the whole interior. We don't like chemical residue. As for the tanks, the geo method seems to work well and is very popular too. Always been told if there is an odor, you have a problem as it is not normal. Make sure you use enough water to flush.

    I had used many holding tank treatments and had always had odor problems and a difficult time breaking down solid waste.

    That is, until I started using Happy Campers. It is a great product, breaks down solid waste very well, and I no longer have a problem with odors.

    Try Rain-X with a soft cloth (follow instructions) that what I've used for years and my windshield comes out spotless day or night.

    Windex has a small soap component to it.
    The soap has to be rubbed off with a clean towel.

    Try a glass shop. Speed Glass carries a good glass cleaner and its available for retail sale.

    - Happy Camper - I've heard nothing but good about that product.

    I have used "Windex" and just found a product called "Invisable Glass" that seems to work well. I also use "Happy Camper" and find it works well. Sometimes I flush the tanks with Calgon and Dawn dish detergent. I don't think using a product is bad, but some don't think it necessary and that's okay too.
