Winnebago Adventurer 38Q or Itasca Suncruiser

I ordered the 2016.5 38Q with the new cap and rear and 6 speed transmission. I had a 2015 Winnebago 35G. The new one is actually the Itasca Suncruiser as it had the interior colors we wanted. I know trading makes little sense financially but we really like this new 38Q. Not the first time we have traded too soon but we make sense of other things financially so this is the splurge. At any rate I am curious from those that own this model how you feel about the ride and handling. I have modified other smaller Class A gas motorhomes to improve both. I have always thought they might be too light for the suspension. Now that I will be in the 26,000 lb range I wonder if the ride will be better and my mods will be the simple one like Steer stabilizer. I have bee inquiring about Roadking shocks as I spoke to a person who swears about them not at them for ride and handling excellence. My hope is to do very little in terms of modification. If you have experience with the 38Q I would like your thoughts and experience. We love the floor plan and where we really liked the 35G decided to make the change when we got an offer that fit our finances.
  • if you like it?? and you can afford it?? go get what makes you happy, your only going around one time ,enjoy your life while you can, p.s sounds like a real nice rig.
  • Thanks, we did. It is a really neat floor plan and top of the line for gas motorhome and I am very comfortable with gas.
  • Ok, can anyone with a larger gas Ford powered motorhome share their ride experience. I am thinking the 13 ton size.
