Well the comments posted are what I was thinking, but it is nice to hear the sound of reason!

Kudos to the seller for not just throwing on craigs list and hiding the lightening strike.

I'd look at units from 2010.

I wouldn't touch that thing with a 10 foot pole----and in the past I have restored some salvage units. Its not worth 1/2 the asking price.

Last fall at least, there was a glut of used tag axles for sale. that one is way overpriced.

If it were fully and properly repaired (i.e. all wiring and electronics replaced) I would expect the warranty to remain intact. Because it comes with no-warranty, I wouldn't pay more than what I could part it out for. It may work fine as-is, but I would be VERY cautious of un-seen damage. Also, Motohome wiring is never done like commercial wiring where you can just pull new wire runs. It would be a very destructive process to re-wire everything. Also, damage to electronic components does have the potential for consequential damage to mechanical systems including engine and transmission.

It looks like it would be basically new except for the lightening. So what damage exactly did the strike do; very important to know. What was the original list price? I would want it thoroughly evaluated by a trusted RV mechanic to see what it needs.
