Yahoo Roadtrek Group denied access

If the rules for Roadtrek group are the same as for Pleasure Way, then the forum wants the VIN of your Roadtrek before allowing access. Since you don't own one yet, that leaves you out of their group I guess.

You might try the RT group on Facebook. Actually there are several, with one that is semi-official.

Heck, I got tossed out of the RT group years back. Some guy posted a complaint about an earlier spam post, and quoted the whole dam' spam with no trimming. I fairly gently chided him for furthering the spammer's purpose, and found myself banned the next day.

Having owned two Roadtreks, I can say that I was very happy with both, other than the Dodge's handling. A little of that may have been a tire issue (Michelin LTX), which I found out later. The Chevy was a bit too low, IMO, leading to potential dumping and scraping issues. I think they've cured a lot of that.

Yeah, I'm a Roadtrek owner and I was on both the Yahoo and Facebook groups. I'm no longer on either one. It seemed to me both groups were more interested in cheerleading for Roadtrek than in dealing with real-world problems that people have with these units. I'm not knocking Roadtrek - it is a great product, but like all products there are problems.

Of the two I found the Facebook group the most controlling because it is more or less moderated by Roadtrek itself. They seemed to want to suppress any postings about problems people were having with their units or with the warranty process and what it really covers.

I've found the best place to go for RT issues is the Class B forum (www.classbforum.com). People there tend to know what is going on, or at least know where to find a resource.

Put me down as one that had troubles with the Yahoo forum. Personally, I have found over the years that this forum offers lots of good advice and direction on all kinds of Bs.

I have had two Roadtreks, 1996 Dodge 19P and 2007 Chevy 210P. Here is all I can say: neither one ever went back to the RV dealer. I had one little trouble with the Dodge transmission (small trouble) and the Chevy had a crimped wire from the factory. Neither one was a Roadtrek issue but rather a vehicle problem. Small problems with the RV stuff? Yep. But I just preferred to fix them myself. Part of the fun of having one of these puppies for me is tinkering with them.

I would recommend you look at www.Advanced-RV.com since you are in the market for a class B. They make a elegant and unique unit called "Ocean One". I had the opportunity to drive a demo from Ohio to Upper Michigan last year and fell in love with it. I am going to their Open House May 2 thru 4 in Willoughby, Ohio to see what they have done over the last year. You just might consider contacting Mike Neundorfer, the owner of the company and explain what you are looking for. You will not find a better built unit in the market place.

Yep, you got it. According to these "groups", there are no issues at all to deal with.
I could say alot more about it but I'd get in trouble here.....

aren't there 2 roadtrek groups. I don't have a roadtrek but i belong to one(the general one) but the roadtrek owners group needs a vin.

Another RT alternative is Sportsmobile. It may not be as high-end as Advanced RV, but they offer very good units, and you can get one that is all diesel (generator, stove, furnace, water heater, etc.) so all you need to worry about is one fuel source.
