Now that sounds delicious and so easy too! Thanks for planning my Labour Day menu in advance, LOL! - paulcardozaExplorerAbsolutely!

Here in New England - 7/4 is Clamboil day, with Lobster........
I see the price of lobster is going up but still reasonable @ 5.99/lb for up to 1.25 pounders at my end. Enjoyed getting them at 3.99 but knew that couldn't last.

- bobwalterExplorerWow..... Can't wait.
- down_homeExplorer IIBBQ chicken and some pulled pork in good tangy sauce, not too sweet. Maybe North Carolina mustard style, on some this year. some burgers. Good potato salad. Yellow sweet corn that squirts when you push in on a kernel. Fresh tomatoes, and anything fresh at the Farmers Market, peaches, apples. Really want some good peaches. Good dark green striped, sweet and cold water melon . Some good cold Sand Mountain, Al cantaloupe. Homemade vanilla ice cream and home made yellow cake with whipped frosting.
No way can I eat it all but I'll try a bite of as much, of the feast, as I can.
Lots, of fresh brewed ice tea, poured hot over ice, all the day long.
Hope I can persuade Brothers to put on a fireworks show across the creek. Want to watch all the kids out there having a ball. Maybe get everyone to play cards to late. Get Son In Law tell some stories. Maybe get Sisters to lead in some Gospel singing. I've got to get a piano.
Hard to believe June is hard upon us. Just got the last of the snow off the porches, it seems.
Hope everyone eats too much, and has a great Fourth even if it is mite early. - Super_DaveExplorer

What is "ABT's"?
Stuffed peppers with bacon. I like using chorizo, cream cheese, sharp cheddar cheese and a few special seasonings. - jake2250ExplorerHere's what we do;
Johnsonville Brats what ever flavor you like
Brown them on a grill, being careful not to crack the case!!
While browning, mix in an aluminum pan (cheap disposable) Grilled onions (browned in a pan with garlic and butter prior).
1 quart of cheap Lager beer,3 tablespoons of Dark Brown sugar, 1 teaspoon of minced garlic.
Bring pan to a simmer,,add Brats (4-6)bring to a rapid simmer,, continue to cook Bats and sauce until mixture thickens to a syrupy consistency. then take off of heat and allow to cool down a bit (eating temp).
This is usually done on the BBQ and referred to as a Brat Jacuzzi!!
Sauce and Brats on a bun are wonderful!! - NYCgrrlExplorer

Menu is dependent on our daughter's return from Korea.
If she makes it:
Stuffed mushrooms
ABT's
Smoked prime rib
twice baked potatoes
corn on the cob
salad
water melon
peach-berry cobbler and ice cream for dessert
What is "ABT's"?
Smoked prime ribs sounds awfully yummy! What wood will you use?
Here's hoping your DD will be with you for the holiday; none of my sons will be here but I've lots of other family members and friends to fill some of the void:). - Super_DaveExplorerMenu is dependent on our daughter's return from Korea.
