- wca01ExplorerAt least look at the Circulon set for the house. It is the best cook set I have ever used. The non-stick surface is approved for metal tools.
I also like gas cook tops. The Nuwave responds even faster than gas. You'll have a little learning curve, but in short order you will never look back.
good Luck!
Wil - NCWriterExplorerThanks to all of you for posting your experiences. Always learn good stuff on this forum.
Got the double set for Christmas, one for the RV. I had wanted a hot plate for a while but this of course will be superior. Today I'm figuring out how to pack the pans into our small RV for a trip starting Weds. I found a nice Calphalon stockpot at TJ Maxx that works and actually has the same lid size as my larger fry pan, eliminating one.
I like the looks of that cookware set that fits together. Might get that for the RV and use the others at home. Have to confess I love my natural gas stovetop at home and haven't used the NuWave much yet. - SWMOExplorer
2. If the pan is removed from the cooking eye, an E1 error will be generated and all heating will stop. This will occur in situations like flipping eggs.
I've discovered that this only occurs if the unit is cycled on. If it has cycled off to allow the temperature to stay in range it won't do anything. If you remove the pan for a very short period you don't need to do anything, even if you don't get the E1 message. - wca01ExplorerJust a couple of tips on the NuWave learning curve.
1. When you set a temperature, the NuWave uses the temperature of the bottom of the pan to control the heat. It's easy to think that the temperature setting is for the food in the pan itself. In a short time pan contents will get close to the pan temperature, but when first set they will be different.
2. If the pan is removed from the cooking eye, an E1 error will be generated and all heating will stop. This will occur in situations like flipping eggs.
If you get the E1 error, you can press the start button to continue, but Nuwave has provided a better function. The off button is labeled Pause/Clear. It operates on two pushes.
The first push will pause the heating and leave the temperature setting flashing. If you want to remove the pot, do some function, and return to cooking, just push the Pause/Clear button once, do your function, press the start button and you will be returned to the original condition of temperature and timer settings.
Push the Pause/Clear button twice and the unit turns off.
Good Luck!

Yes, that's the set. I've used now for about two weeks, and it is great!
Wil - SWMOExplorerDung Beetle you might first do a little soul searching about what you really need. I know some use quite a few pots and pans while others not so much. We fall in the not so much. We've been cooking most of our food on one unit in our stick house use two pots, one small (1 1/2qt?) and one large enough to do pasta or soup in. We have one small non stick skillet (8") and a 10 1/4 Lodge cast iron skillet and a CI griddle.
The skillet sets on the griddle with the small one inside and the small pot sits in the large one. - The_Dung_BeetleExplorerDastagg...
Would you link me to the upgraded Nuwave you're referring to? Thanks!!

Is this the set you're talking about? Magma Non-Stick Cookware
I'm sooo tempted to do this for summer (both the lg upgraded Nu-Wave and new pots/pans). I like to cook, but the pots/pans really do take up a LOT of room in the TT for sure.
. - DastaggExplorerWe got the larger NuWave version upgrade (cost more), but love them. We use one at home and one in the RV. Can bring outside and cook on the picnic table and is great. Can get the smaller ones at BBB for less however, but not sure if they have he bigger NuWave.
- outdoorloversExplorerThis is the cookware we're using (just starting to use it). It travels well as it is not much larger than a dutch oven with everything nested inside held taut by a bungee cord.
Cookware for induction cooktop - wca01ExplorerUpdate:
I reported earlier on the Circulon induction cookware we use in the stick and brick home. It is too bulky to use in the RV.
I acquired the non-stick induction ready cook ware set from Magma. It stores in 1/2 cu. ft. and contains 10 pieces -- most all you will ever need. It is excellent on the NuWave and is completely non-stick.
It has removable handles, and the pieces are oven safe to 500 degrees. I can find no fault with this set
Good Luck!
