How do you use Cherry Heering Liqueur ?

Got a bottle for Xmas and so far have put it over vanilla ice cream; in a tall glass with ice and fizzy water and now, today, over a can of cherries that were tasteless. It helped.

Label says it is used in a Singapore Sling. Too much trouble for me.

What are some other uses, please ?

    I don't care who ya' are,,that's funny!!
  • I agree -- just drink it. Pouring any good booze into soda pop is an abomination.

    Oh My..SO much mis-information!!
Why in heavens name would you dilute or adulterate such a lovely, natural and enjoyable nectar??

Cherry Heering is a cherry liqueur that is produced in Denmark from an original 1818 recipe. It is to be sipped after dinner in polite company.

Those with a poor palate may wish to pour it over ice to dilute the intense flavors. Those with no idea of its true enjoyment may mix it with other spirits (usually vodka or rum) or even add seltzer water or (heaven forbid) a lemon/lime mixer.

Just pour a jigger or two in a cold, small glass then relax and ENJOY the delightful flavors and aromas from a truly unique product! (JMHO)

I was waiting for someone to say something like this. That's how I remember Cherry Heering. These days though its popular to try and make a mixer out of anything and everything.

  • When I was a teenager living in Taiwan, my girlfriend and I went to the American Club with her parents. They always let us drink Cherry Heering sours. Much later, by mother's friend, Marion, introduced me to a drink called a Bloody Sand. She made it with scotch, vermouth, Cherry Heering, and orange juice. I don't remember the exact amounts of anything, but I think it was pretty close to equal parts of each of them. I really liked it.
