Most and least used Kitchen appliance.

We are planning an extended trip and I'm wondering what kitchen appliance, excluding a coffee pot, that you use in your RV and which you use least. We have limited storage, and I'm thinking I should probably leave some of them behind.
I'm thinking about purchasing a Ninja slow-cooker that also fries, Ninja 3 in 1, as we make lots of soups, etc, and Im wondering about a blender. I make smoothies a lot, and lastly, do I need our toaster, and I'm also looking at the NuWave Oven thing and okay, something would have to go. LOL
And am I forgetting anything?
  • the least used kitchen appliance in my RVs has been the gas oven. ordered my chieftain without one.
    bumpy
  • Most to least... I don't have many

    1. Gas cook top
    2. Electric wide mouth toaster
    3. Belgian waffle maker
    4. Crock pot
    5. Microwave
    6. Hot water pot
    7. Electric hand mixer
  • All the things you mention could be done with basic good quality cookware, except the blender. If you really like toast made in a toaster, take a small toaster. But toast can be made in the oven. Soups can be made without a crockpot, just simmer them in a good heavy pot for a few hours. You can pan-fry instead of deep-fry, or just deep fry in a good pot. If you already have an oven, no need for another one.

I cooked a lot when travelling with former BF--- all we took was a large, medium, & small pot, a large & medium non-stick skillet, 2 collapsible mixing bowls, knives, cutting board, colander, coffeepot, a small set of measuring cups/spoons, can opener, a few plastic storage containers, a pizza pan, and corkscrew. I could have managed with 1 less pot and 1 mixing bowl.

    Less is better.
  • When we did weekends and vacations, we just had the coffee pot.
Now that we full time, we have a crockpot, coffee pot, blender/food processor combo, and mixer. I cook a lot, so all of them have been used within the last month. Besides the coffee maker, the crockpot is the most useful but, if you don't use it at home, no reason to bring it.
  • Recently we've added a few appliances we've begun to rely on:

Tefal ActiFry- makes great fries, chicken wings, ribs and more with less oil

Opti Grill- Very fast indoor grilling with little mess

NuWave Induction stand alone burner- Very fast to heat up, reliable temperature control, cool to the touch for safety.

And our favorite is an Indoor Pizza Oven by Breville. Only takes about 45 minutes to make the dough, build the pizza and cook it. Way better than delivery or frozen.

We have plenty of storage so we haven't had to eliminate anything. Appliances that do multiple tasks are the right way to go when space is limited.
  • We could almost full time with nothing more than the stove, oven, crock pot and grill. I only bring other "appliances" if the menu I made for that trip requires them.

Regarding your blender, you said that you make a lot of soups and smoothies. Will an immersion blender, which is relatively small, help you with both?
  • We don't take the things we don't use.
    No electric coffee pot
    No electric toaster
    No electric crock pot
    No electric waffle iron
    No electric dehydrator
    No electric knife sharpener
    No electric Skillet
    No electric blender
No set it an forget it
    No electric ice cream maker

And for some reason our kitchen cabinets are not too full of stuff.
    :)
