Thanksgiving on the Road or Off?

We plan to take our RV to Williamsburg for the week of Thanksgiving. I'm debating about T'day dinner. I would love to have dinner at the Williamsburg Inn (thoughts of comparing to Grove Park Inn) or one of the smaller places in town. Or, I saw several recipes today for crockpot turkey breast. Hmmm. Lot of work and lot of stuff to haul to cook a Thanksgiving dinner. So we shall see.

Sounds like a nice take on a turkey roulade. Done similar with a hotel breast (for west of the Mississippi residents that's a regional turkey cut with the legs and thighs removed so you've a little bit of dark meat) but never on a grill..........someday :c.

Big quilt shop in Phoenix? Where? We might need to hit that when we visit our grandson at ASU.

We'll hit the road that Saturday and make slow progress to the San Angelo State Park by Tuesday with full hookups there. Enjoy the mountain bike trails Wednesday. Turkey and ham with the usual fixins Thursday. Head back Friday with a couple stops along the way. Empty nesters, so small quantities of everything. All will be cooked or heated in the RV.

We're done camping for the season. But, it would be nice to spend Turkey Day at a campsite.

I full time and I make sure that I am hunkered down in a CG 2 days 'before' any holiday. Don't drive the roads on holidays.
