I recently purchased an Orgreenic 10" skillet. I believed their commercials about how their green surface prevents anything from sticking. I was disappointed when after seasoning the pan per the instructions, everything I cooked in it, stuck! After speaking to 3 friends who also have green skillets, they all love them and nothing sticks!For those of you with green skillets, do you like it? Do things stick? What brand do you have?

With the environmental movement, a few of us thought that anything "green" would be a good sell. Did it work?

Ours works fine, no sticking. Don't know the brand but don't wash it in a dish washer.

We recently bought Orgreenic skillet and my wife really likes it. Foods do not stick. You might try seasoning it again. Light coating of vegetable oil and placing in a 400 degree oven for one hour.

I do not have any 'Green Pans", and know nothing about them. But... If it is something that you have to season, and hand wash, and you are not satisfied with it - Just try cast iron. It's cheap, non-stick, no canary-killing chemicals, and will last a life-time.

The pan brand I purchased was Fiesta and it is ceramic (white). The outside of the pan is blue. We were staying in a state park cabin In Duffield, VA for the Bristol night race and I forgot to bring a nonstick skillet for our morning eggs. We went to a local Kohls and purchased the pan. I must say it works very well. It was darned pricey though.

Wife has bought three of those pans, white inside. They seemed to do good for a bit then stuff stuck.
I sometimes cook breakfast and use it. Bacon and other residue has to be cleaned out, rather vigorously, sometimes.

We have the JA Henkels Ceramic frypans.

We bought one and were so impressed with how well it cooks and cleans up that we bought a couple more. We got them on sale at 70% off the normal price.

I have one, and wiping it out does not get it that clean especially after it was used for a year or so; that's why I don't use it much. Depends on what you cook in it like anything else. The cast iron suits me better since it's easy to clean and holds heat much longer. And the older it gets, the easier it is to clean which is opposite of the green colored skillet.

Yep.. I always heat my CI until it smokes before using and after cleaning.. Nothing alive on it. :)

I'm not sure what clean were talking about? I consider my CI clean when there is no obvious residue left. As for any little micro critters, they can fight with the dust and airborne critters until I smoke them at 375-400 degrees.:B

Different strokes different folks. We have used both and still prefer the cast iron for durability. Even with extreme care and soft spatulas both of the ceramic coated pans wore out after a year or so. Replacements were too expensive for our budget so we have gone back to CI. It's a shame they haven't perfected the durability of the ceramic yet as it does have possibilities as a light weight alternative. Perhaps in the future.
