- mdcampingExplorerSalisbury Beach State Park In MA is on two beaches, ocean & river. Campground offers water and electric, campstore and at $24 per night you will not find any beach front camping in NE that cheap. Campground also is about 40 min drive to southern ME and Boston area attractions.
Mike - noe-placeExplorerHilton Head South Carolina. We travel with 3 seniors and my 12 yr old grandson. Two of us seniors have bad knees and we still go anywhere we want then deal with it when we get there. Life is too short not to try.
- DawnNewJerseyExplorerthank you everyone For your suggestions! Gets me Really thinking for other trips. Its tough because one needs a Wheelchair and the other has breathing problems in humidity....not to mention the kids.

Been to Ocean City, MD and OBX and Myrtle - can anyone recommend some place else?
Sounds like you have been almost everywhere!
Really, you can't think of Blue Ridge Mountains, maybe Boston, perhaps Adirondacks, civil war sites in Virginia, Washington, DC, Pennsylvania Dutch or Amish country? - CloudDriverExplorerX2 on Watkins Glen. We stayed at the State Park there. Our site had electric, not sure whether all did. We did a day trip to the Ithaca area and visited Taughannock Falls State Park, Buttermilk Falls State Park and Robert H. Treman State Park. All great spots.
Another possibility is to go further north to Acadia National park in Maine. If you all have passports, The Bay of Fundy in New Brunswick, Canada has the highest tides in the world. - yrusosloExplorerBoone, NC & surrounding areas
- Dick_BExplorerYou could do a Google search for `______ tourism' and put the city, state or area in the blank space to read what the experts have to suggest or go to the Boston area, stay at Normandy Farms, and take the bus tour of one of the great historical cities in the world; Boston or maybe do both.
- 2_RetiredExplorerConcur with suggestion for Williamsburg/Jamestown/Yorktown area. Great hands-on history that is not too "high brow" in Williamsburg and it also has a good theme park (Busch Gardens and water park too). Jamestown has two really great historical parks, the National park which is on the site of the original settlement and a Va state historical park where there are recreations of both Native American and English settlements as well as replicas of the ships that brought the English to Jamestown. Yorktown, a National HIstorical site, also has hands-on history. So much to see and do in Williamsburg that is appropriate for all ages as well. DH and I actually extended our stay in the area last year! Besides, the ocean is close enough for an easy day trip too! Several good CGs in the area as well. Check out www.rvparkreviews.com for info on that.
- ken07734ExplorerDisneyworld?
- NCWriterExplorerWilliamsburg and Jamestown area? Things to see and near Virginia beaches and northern Outer Banks.
