Looking 4 Tips for Nevada Christmas Truck Camper trip?

I had a much further plan but seems time is the issue, so being we don't have as much time as I hope this year I'm thinking about just going to Nevada?

Yet being we will have our dog, cuts out Vegas & stuff like that?

Besides I've gone there plenty of time s & just lose money like most of us.

So might you guys recommend fun places for camping with our dog in the state of Nevada that we should see?

    Calico is one of my favorite dog-friendly places too. And if you're thinking about Laughlin, I recommend Davis Camp. It's in a nice location right on the river and the people seem nice. It's next door to a cute museum and in a good location for touring the Mojave desert.

    I personally had no interest in Las Vegas when I mentioned Nevada.
    I've been there enough & have considered Laughlin, but I was more interested in campgrounds at worthwhile places to see & camp.

    Before my truck broke down, I loved how fog friendly Calico is, they let you take the dog into every attraction, except the restaurant.

    There are several doggy daycare places in Vegas. We also have groomers who will let you leave your dog for the day and give him back to you all clean and fluffed!

    Vegas also has several new dog parks to explore. Although the weather here can be pretty awful, the town is getting to be more dog friendly.

    21 feet seems very short, my truck camper is 25 feet bumper to bumper.

    I think a 21 foot would fit into the Red Rock campground ok. It's flat empty desert marked off into campsites. Depending on the time of year it has picnic tables.

    It's a pretty bare-bones campground.

    5 gear in the Manual trans started making a loud rattling sound & my Trans shop guy tells me its likely the 5th gear has loosened on its shaft ( A common problem he says & they sell a Lock kit )

    I can still drive it around if need be just did not wanna trash the trans any more, Had to tow it home, a 205 mile tow. :(
